The LS475 Liquid System option for its F4365 High-Capacity Nutrient Applicator features a large 2,000-gallon tank.

With 2,000-gal. capacity and 90-ft. booms, this new system combines fast loading time and field speeds with wider application range of liquids for F4365 machines.

To help ag service providers and large-acre producers apply high-volume liquid fertilizers, crop protection products and other solutions more quickly and accurately to a wide variety of fields, John Deere introduces the LS475 Liquid System option for its F4365 High-Capacity Nutrient Applicator. This new liquid application system allows operators to cover more acres, with fewer refilling stops, while providing the capacity, speed, comfort and reliability they’ve come to expect with the F4365 machines.

“The F4365 High-Capacity Nutrient Applicator has quickly become the industry standard in large, high-horsepower, low-impact broad-acre applicators,” said Joel Basinger, production step marketing manager for John Deere. “Since its introduction in 2016, we’ve added more application functionality to these machines, including an air boom and different spinner-spread drybox options. The new LS475 Liquid System, designed in collaboration with Hagie, is another example of the flexibility customers will have in using these machines to apply liquid fertilizers and other solutions to a variety of fields on their farms or for their customers.”

The LS475 Liquid System features a large 2,000-gallon (7,571L) tank that can be rapidly filled at 300 gallons (1,136L) per minute and a 90-ft. (27.4m), seven-section auto-fold boom mounted on the 365-hp F4365. The high-capacity liquid system is designed for ag service providers and large-acre producers who want tremendous application rate-volume flexibility and the ability to cover more ground during short application windows while minimizing soil compaction and disturbance.

“The LS475 with its wider boom and dual solution pumps can apply liquids at rates from 5 gallons (19L) to 420 gallons (1,590L) per minute, depending on application speed, which makes it one of the most versatile machines in being able to cover everything from pasture and hay ground to corn, soybeans and wheat fields, and more,” said Basinger. “This machine with the liquid system can effectively apply product at speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h), depending on application rate.”

The LS475 with its wider boom and dual solution pumps can apply liquids at rates from 5 to 420 gallons per minute.

Other features of the liquid system include a 200-gallon (757L) rinse tank with automatic rinse cycle and transfer to the solution tank; enhanced agitation capabilities; and self-priming load pump to save time charging the system. In addition, the PowrSpray™ Solution System makes it easier for the operator to perform a number of functions from the load station, including nozzle check, air purge and system cleanout, and field cleaning with an on-board pressure washer.

The rugged, height-adjustable 90-ft. booms can fold to 60 ft. (18.3m) for low-volume applications to smaller fields and have full-boom breakaway protection. With the seven-section boom, John Deere AutoTrac™ and Section Control capabilities, operators can accurately apply product to the field, resulting in fewer overlaps and reduced input costs.

“These applicators combine speed and accuracy with the comfort and power built into the F4365, thanks to the John Deere PowerTech™ PSS 9L engine and Infinitely Variable Transmission that provides more power to the ground and greater acceleration compared to competitive three- or four-wheel machines,” Basinger said. He added customers have commented on the enhanced comfort and quiet operation of these applicators, especially when operated under full load on hilly or uneven terrain.

Along with Section Control, AutoTrac and Gen 4 4600 CommandCenter™ Display, these machines come standard with an expanded Precision Ag intelligence package that enables the seamless integration of automation, documentation and connectivity. This includes JDLink™ with five years of service, Remote Display Access and Wireless Data Transfer that make it easier for customers to remotely monitor and manage the machine and field operations, as well as enable more timely transfer of prescriptions and data.

“The F4365 is the highest capacity, most durable and versatile nutrient applicator in the field,” added Basinger. “With a 46 mph (74km/h) road transport speed, operators can more quickly get from field to field to more accurately apply fertilizer and other inputs to improve crop yields, while making their applications more productive.”

The LS475 Liquid System option ships separately from the factory and is dealer-installed on F4365 models for 2020. For more information on the new high-volume liquid system for the High-Capacity Nutrient Applicator, contact your local John Deere dealer or visit JohnDeere.com.
