MINEX Kazakhstan
Endowed with the vast mineral resources, Kazakhstan is the undoubted economic leader in Central Asia. In the last decade Kazakhstan has made significant efforts for modernising its mining industry by creating agile and sustainable production to meet global demand for metals and minerals.
Held since 2010, MINEX Kazakhstan is one of the best-regarded major mining events in the county. The Forum is supported by the Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, the UK Department for International Trade, International and National Mining Associations, as well as mining industry leaders and Investors.
Every year, the Forum provides a platform for presentation of important changes in Kazakhstan’s mining legislation and the key projects and technologies developed in Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia.
MINEX Kazakhstan offers opportunities for organising B2B and B2C meetings with mining companies, stock exchanges, independent suppliers and government-led trade delegations. The Forum regularly hosts the B2G panel discussions with senior representatives of Kazakhstan government authorities as well as official delegations from the neighbouring Central Asian countries.

MINEX Kazakhstan offers excellent opportunities for the presentation of mining market reports, changes to legislation, and case studies of the implementation of technical and investment project; and for organising technical masterclasses, and even, attracting the participation of the audience in the discussion of the challenges and changes facing the mining sector of Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia.
Mining Trade and Investment exhibition will be organised alongside the forum on 1 -2 April 2020. It will provide a platform for presentation of advanced technologies, investment projects, services and equipment for the Kazakhstan mining industry.
Digital Transformation Conference
Mining Goes Digital conference will be held for the first time alongside the forum. The conference will present examples of digitalization of mining and metallurgical enterprises and address opportunities for implementation of Artificial Intelligence, Satellite Monitoring, Big Data, the Internet of Things and Blockchain technologies in the mining industry in Kazakhstan and wider Central Asia.
MineDigital competition of mining digitalisation technologies, equipment and projects will be organised as part of the Mining Goes Digital Conference.
To facilitate the development of geological exploration projects, the forum will be hosting MineInvest competition. Projects submitted to the competition will be evaluated by directors and strategic development managers from major mining companies, banks and investment funds.
MineTech - Innovation competition
The objective of the competition is to offer practical assessment of innovative solutions and technologies for implementation at the enterprises of the mining industry of Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia. The competition is open for business and University teams.
