On January 16th, Wanjohi Kangangi, Isuzu EA Sales & Marketing Director led an Isuzu team in a hand over of two Isuzu FVZ tipper trucks and an NQR bus bought by the department of Mechanical Engineering in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure at their Dunga Road offices, Industrial Area. The ceremony marked the second purchase of locally assembled vehicles by the department in less than a year under the Buy Kenya, Build Kenya initiative.
Speaking at the event, Mr Kangangi lauded the Ministry for leading the way in purchasing locally assembled Isuzu vehicles. "As the market leader for the last eight years, Isuzu is a passionate proponent of the Buy Kenya, Build Kenya initiative to drive the growth and prosperity of our nation through a robust manufacturing sector," he said.
The Infrastructure Secretary, Eng. Francis Gitau, congratulated Isuzu EA for providing robust and highly dependable vehicles to support the Transport Ministry's work. "Isuzu has been a reliable and dependable business partner since we bought the first batch of Isuzu trucks last year. Their aftersales support has been great. With this new purchase, we look forward to growing this partnership further as we continue to build our nation," he said.
