Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM) will showcase the EX Series Model 120 and EX Series Model 884. The largest of all the ADM plant series, the EX Series was designed for maximum asphalt production and increased capacities, with up to 50% RAP. Available in portable or relocatable models, the EX Series of plants are customizable to meet additional TPH specifications, and may be customized even further with a wide range of components for greater plant configurations.

Like all of the ADM EX Series asphalt plants, the EX 120 and EX 8844 feature single-drum counterflow technology, using separate drying and mixing zones to achieve the highest level of heat transfer and fuel efficiency, and the longest aggregates drying and mixing times in the industry for high quality asphalt production. Counterflow technology captures residual gases and reintroduces them back to the combustion zone, virtually eliminating blue smoke and hydrocarbon emissions to meet strict environmental regulations.

The EX Series of asphalt plants combines the efficiency of single-operator capability, easy troubleshooting, and simple on-site maintenance with the ability to meet production capacities for a wide range of applications, including all federal and state specifications, to ensure consistent, quality asphalt. All this in a compact package allows producers to achieve a fast return on investment.

Compact and highly portable, the EX 120 is ideal for use in demanding and remote environments worldwide. The newly redesigned EX 120 on display at ConExpo-Con/AGG has been redesigned with a reverse baghouse to provide even greater portability with its smaller size. Producers looking for high portability, low capacity, and counterflow technology (with baghouse) will find the redesigned EX 120 a welcome choice.

Check out the many available components from ADM. Hot mix asphalt (HMA) storage and surge systems including portable self-erecting silos, relocatable silos, surge bins, and drag conveyors. Control rooms and process controls including control rooms, motor control centers, blend systems, loadout systems, and control add-ons.

Designed to offer producers more efficiency and greater uptime, control add-ons include human interface (HMI) controls to help simplify plant control houses, call boxes to notify operators of an event at the plant, fuel meters to provide an easier and safer way to measure fuel consumption, AMP meter systems to determine how hard equipment is working from one day to the next and tank level indicators.

Tank level indicators allow operators to view fuel or asphalt tank levels from the control house rather than having to walk outside to the tanks. The ability to continuously see levels from inside the control house enables operators to order material whenever necessary to keep production flowing. This is especially useful on busy days in preventing the risk of shutdowns that may result if levels fall too low because operators did not have time to visit the tanks, read levels, and order the necessary material.
