Cape Town Airport has been pushing improvements to its runway for some years and the confirmation of the project in earty 2018 allows the company to be capable of accommodating some of the world’s largest aircraft. The primary runway will be extended to 3500 metres, allowing for larger Code F aircraft such as the Airbus 380 to land safely. Furthermore, the development of parallel and rapid exit taxiways will reduce plane congestion while improving safety.

10 companies will be invited to participate in the legal tender and submit their bids, including ABB, General Electric, Siemens, State Grid, Schneider Electric, and El-Sewedy. Technical Committee formed by the Ministry of Electricity has identified the planned capacity to be between 250 and 300 MW and the point of landing of cables in Egyptian territory in coordination with the armed forces. The sources revealed the continuation of negotiations with the banks to finance the Egyptian tranche in the project, with an estimated cost of $500m.

Production of water treatment chemicals by the multibillion factory whose construction kicked off at Mlandizi, Coast JUNACO Tanzania Limited has partnered with Malaysian Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad to construct the 256bn/- factory.

Upon its completion, the project will create 700 direct jobs, The factory at fully operational, will provide reliable market for salt producers, some of whom are contemplating closing their businesses due to lack of reliable markets. The plant will be consuming 2,500 tonnes of salt monthly.
