Haulotte expands its successful RTJ telescopic range
Designed for working in challenging environments and tackling the most demanding projects the HT16 RTJ OPRO (HT46 RTJ OPRO in North America) shares the same design and performance characteristics as the other models in the Haulotte RTJ range. Incorporating Haulotte safety standards and latest innovations the new telescopic boom provides a dual platform capacity along with 4-wheel steering and is ideal for work up to 16 meters (46 feet) high. OUTSTANDING PRODUCTIVITY AND EXCELLENT ALL-TERRAIN CAPABILITIES The latest addition to the RTJ range is an outdoor telescopic boom designed for versatile applications: heavy construction finishing maintenance sports and other events. HT16 RTJ OPRO boosts your productivity The new RTJ machine has the best outreach on the market and offers a weight capacity of 250 kg (550 lb). For applications requiring heavy equipment the dual-load option increases the basket load capacity to 350 kg (770 lb). Haulotte’s new telescopic boom elevates the operator to the work area quickly (less than 1 minute to full height) thanks to quick and simultaneous movements associated with a 360° turret rotation. The mechanical axle drive allows for the use of a smaller simpler engine (24hp18.5 kW) while maintaining the same performances as other RTJ booms. Thanks to the smaller engine the telescopic boom eliminates the need for a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). In STAGE V regulated countries there is also no requirement to use a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). Superior agility and maneuverability on all terrains The HT16 RTJ OPRO (HT46 RTJ OPRO in North America) easily climbs over obstacles and slopes up to 45%. Operators can elevate on uneven surfaces even with a significant tilt angle of 5° whatever the boom angle. The operator controlled locking rear differential allows maximum traction in the most difficult rough terrain situations. Proportional controls guarantee smooth operation and precise movements on the way up to the work area. The new telescopic boom operates anywhere even on the roughest terrain. It is the only machine of its category featuring 4-wheel steering. In 4-wheel steering mode the turning radius is shortened enabling the driver to maneuver in tight areas. Crab mode facilitates motion in all directions making it easier to access the work area. Schickling rental receives delivery of a Genie® 4-m (13- ft) platform
This April Schickling Arbeitsbühnen GmbH based in Visbek became one of the first rental companies in Germany to receive the new Genie® 4-m (13- ft) platform. Having acquired this aftermarket accessory for use with its 21.81-m (71 ft) Genie® S®-65 XC™ boom lift in just a few weeks Schickling has already seen the benefits that this new option provides in terms of saving operators time on jobs as well as enabling work to continue while maintaining social distance. “We chose to purchase the Genie 4-m (13-ft) platform because we could see that used with our Genie S-65 XC booms lift it would offer the perfect combination of 21.81 m (7` ft) maximum work height and up to 270-kg (600 lb) lift capacity providing a solution for a wide range of access tasks” explains company owner and general manager Elmar Schickling. “So far after using this solution to give the signage of our depot a good clean it has already been rented out on several occasions to install outdoor sunshades and awnings. Thanks to its extra length our new platform enabled operators to complete the entire installation across the full length of the job including the fitting of the mechanisms on both sides of the awnings. More than people from over rental companies attended the seminar in Kunshan City. Construction work restarted last month in China after weeks of shutdown during the coronavirus epidemic. The aim was to support customers to promote the business and to train them to do the the regular maintenance. Last week a seminar was jointly held by Haulotte and E Rentals company in Kunshan City. On this occasion Haulotte Shanghai performed product walk arounds focused on the HA16 RTJ and Optimum 8 and prensented its global service offer. Customers were able to get hands on experience with the equipment and to ask questions. Participants appreciated the fully proportional and simultaneous movements of the articulating boom. The agility of the scissor lift Optimum 8 made a strong impression: rapid and compact it is easy to manoeuvre in the most restricted places and offers high precision driving.

Tow tractors have become indispensable in many transport processes. These all-rounders are mostly used as towing vehicles for logistic trains for example to supply production in industrial plants deliver goods to shops in airport terminals serve meals in hospitals – or as “shelves on wheels” in warehouses and distribution centers. Linde Material Handling is presenting three new tractor models each of which offers a choice between lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries: The Linde P40 C with four tons load capacity 800 Newton nominal tractive force and a maximum travel speed of 813 kilometers per hour (withwithout load). The Linde P40 C B with four tons load capacity 800 Newton nominal tractive force and maximum travel speed of 810 kilometers per hour (withwithout load). The Linde P60 C with six tons load capacity 1200 Newton nominal tractive force and a maximum travel speed of 813 kilometers per hour (withwithout load). All models have a width of only 800 millimeters and can be easily maneuvered even in narrow aisles. From the operator’s platform the driver has an unobstructed view of the working environment trailer coupling and load – ensuring maximum visibility and safety. The tow tractors are designed so that the driver’s torso and limbs remain within the protective vehicle contours at all times. In the event of a collision robust bumpers absorb the force effectively. Performance and equipment meet the highest requirements The vehicles are equipped with numerous safety systems as standard. An example is the Linde Curve Control which reduces speed when cornering depending on the steering wheel angle. The optional Linde Blue Spot projects a blue point of light onto the ground in front of the tractor thus warning pedestrians of the approaching vehicle. Glare-free LED headlights give the driver an excellent view of the road ahead even in poorly lit aisles. The vehicles are brought to a standstill by three independently operating brake systems. The electromagnetic servo brake (Linde Brake Control) is connected to the emergency stop switch and automatically acts as the so-called dead man’s function when the driving switch is released. The vehicle stops also automatically when the driver steps off the platform. The hydraulically assisted braking system in turn reacts proportionally to the load weight: the heavier the load the more braking force. Other advantages of Linde tow tractors include the optimized platform suspension which reduces human vibrations up to 30 percent compared to previous models. For best possible shock absorption it can also be adjusted depending on the weight of the operator. The wide low entry the height-adjustable steering wheel and an adjustable backrest with folding seat offer the operator a high level of comfort. Double castor wheels ensure optimum stability and traction in all driving situations. Four types of wheels offering different material and grip properties are available depending on the ambient conditions as well as the conditions of the ground to be driven on. If the tow tractor is part of a logistic train (“Linde Load Train”) there is an optional remote control available for the trailers. The optional modular Linde Connect fleet management is used for access control vehicle and driver administration maintenance planning shock sensors and usage analysis as well as zone-dependent speed adjustment.
