Dangote Industries And XCMG Sign Deal To Support African Projects

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Dangote Industries Limited, a Nigerian multinational conglomerate and one of Africa's leading industrial companies, has entered into a strategic collaboration deal with China's XCMG Construction Machinery Co. Ltd to promote infrastructure and industrial projects throughout the continent.

The collaboration will concentrate on areas such as mining, petrochemicals, building materials, agriculture, and infrastructure construction, combining both firms' skills to assist large-scale development initiatives across Africa.

Dangote Industries works in numerous industries, including cement manufacture, fertiliser, petrochemicals, agricultural, mining, food processing, and logistics, with operations in Nigeria and other African countries.

The company is increasing manufacturing capacity and regional operations as part of a plan to attain a business scale of $100 billion by 2030.

Under the terms of the agreement, XCMG will assist Dangote projects via its African sales and service network, as well as deploy specialized teams to create equipment and service solutions for open-pit mining, petrochemicals, and agricultural processing.

The collaboration will also look at the usage of electric equipment and other technologies to boost efficiency and reduce emissions in industrial projects.

The arrangement underlines Dangote's ambition to increase industrial capacity across Africa while also increasing XCMG's footprint in the area.

XCMG is a global OEM of construction and mining equipment with an international dealer network and foreign production sites that sell machines to over 190 countries and regions.
