Perkins Appoints Katanga Engineering As Distributor In Democratic Republic Of Congo

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Perkins Engines Company has selected Katanga Engineering SAS as its authorized distributor in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, beginning January 1, 2026, increasing its presence in one of Africa's major industrial markets.

Katanga Engineering, situated in Lubumbashi, will offer Perkins engines, parts, and services across the nation, focusing on essential industries such as mining, construction, and power production.

The Democratic Republic of Congo, Sub-Saharan Africa's biggest nation by geographical area, has a mining-based economy that accounts for most of its industrial activity and electricity demand.

Katanga Engineering maintains various locations around the country, including branches in Kinshasa, Kolwezi, Kalemie, and Likasi, to provide statewide coverage and localized technical assistance targeted at decreasing equipment downtime.
