Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Middle East Navigation Aids Service (MENAS), a subsidiary of the International Foundation for Aids to Navigation (IFAN), recently purchased a Terex RT 1045 rough-terrain crane to help maintain marine infrastructure in the Gulf.
The crane was provided by AMA Motors, Terex's Bahrain partner, and was chosen to fulfill MENAS' operating and safety standards. A MENAS group recently paid a visit to Terex's facilities in Crespellano, Italy, after the acquisition.
The RT 1045 has a rated lifting capability of 45 tons at a working radius of 3 meters and a maximum main boom length of 31.1 meters. It has a maximum tip height of 33.5 meters and hook height of 30.4 meters.
The crane's combination of lifting capacity, compact size, and rough-terrain performance makes it ideal for MENAS' work repairing navigation aids and other marine infrastructure in demanding operating settings across the area.
