JD.com Property Arm To Build 150,000sqm Logistics Facility At KEZAD Abu Dhabi

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD Group) has inked a deal with JINGDONG Property, JD.com's infrastructure investment and asset management arm, to build a large logistics complex in Abu Dhabi.
The project will offer about 150,000 sqm of warehouse space at KEZAD Al Ma'mourah, with completion scheduled for 2028. The facility is intended to service both local and foreign enterprises who need warehouse, distribution, and supply chain infrastructure.
JINGDONG Property intends to combine automated warehousing systems and digital operations technology into the facility, as well as adaptable warehouse designs to accommodate various clients. The project will rely on the company's expertise in smart logistics facilities and green construction.
Once operational, the project is estimated to provide around 1,000 direct jobs in logistics, distribution, and administration, with additional employment created by transportation, manufacturing, retail, and other supporting businesses.
JINGDONG Property administers approximately 300 infrastructure properties worldwide, totaling over 28 million square meters of gross floor space and more than $16 billion in assets under management. Its portfolio comprises logistics parks, business parks, and data centers that serve e-commerce, third-party logistics, manufacturing, and retail clients.
KEZAD Al Ma'mourah is part of AD Ports Group's Economic Cities & Free Zones portfolio, offering industrial and logistical enterprises access to Abu Dhabi's road, port, and multimodal transportation networks. The new building complements current investment in warehouse and distribution capacity as Abu Dhabi strengthens its position as a regional logistics and commercial center.
