SANY Hybrid Mining Trucks Roll Out In Ghana

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - A Ghanaian technical team has successfully assembled the country's first fleet of SANY SET150S hybrid electric mining trucks for use by Ghana Manganese Company.

The milestone represents an advance leap in Ghana's and the mining industry's broader use of lower-emission equipment.

Five more trucks have arrived for assembly, and the original fleet of sixteen trucks are now in use, providing high uptime for mining operations.

With a total power of 1,400 kW and a dual-engine hybrid system, the 150-ton SET150S trucks are intended to consume less fuel than traditional mining trucks by more than 14%.

In order to support the fleet's long-term operation, local personnel are also in charge of maintenance and advanced technical support.

The delivery highlights the industry's rising emphasis on more sustainable and effective mining operations as well as the developing local knowledge in cutting-edge mining equipment.
