Meraas Expands Residential Masterplan At Dubai Design District

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Meraas, a division of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has announced an extended residential plan for the Dubai Design District, reinventing it as a distinctive waterfront community.

The 18 million square foot concept, situated between Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek, incorporates canal-front apartments, cultural spaces, public parks, and pedestrian streets while blending residential, retail, hospitality, and creative applications.

The Design Line is a shaded pedestrian spine that connects the area and incorporates public art and planted pathways. The proposal consists of five separate areas: waterfront living, a mixed-use urban center, cultural and performance venues, wellness-focused residential zones, and a creative quarter with galleries and studios.
