Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Orsan Araç Sistemleri, a Turkish commercial vehicle component manufacturer, and Schmitz Cargobull, a German trailer manufacturer, have signed a memorandum of intent to extend their current industrial relationship.

The agreement, signed at the Türkiye-North Rhine-Westphalia Business Forum in Istanbul, aims to expand cooperation in sectors such as manufacturing, innovation, product quality, sustainability, and supply chain resilience.

Orsan has a long history of supplying Schmitz Cargobull with components such as air spring bellows for commercial vehicle applications. The Turkish firm focuses on components and systems for commercial vehicle brakes and associated applications.

The partnership also works in the reverse way, with Orsan acquiring Schmitz Cargobull semi-trailer tippers, notably those used for road construction.

The new MoU aims to expand the German-Turkish commercial vehicle supply chain by building on the two firms' existing supplier-customer relationship and exploring further development potential.
