Metso introduces two new game-changing crushing and screening plant concepts for mining

Metso introduces two new game-changing crushing and screening plant concepts for mining

Metso is introducing two new game-changing solutions for the crushing and screening plants in mining: the flexible FITTM stations and the smart ForesightTM stations. The two unique cost efficient and productive solutions will provide significant resource and time savings for the mines. “We have the experience in delivering crushing and screening plants with over one hundred installations globally. We also understand the needs of customers today in the evolving industry. That is why we are using our legacy and expertise to introduce these modularized crushing stations that focus on CAPEX reduction and shorter lead times” says Guillaume Lambert Vice President Crushing Systems at Metso. Unique benefits The new stations offer a wide range of flexible solutions with ease of maintenance and time savings for any operation. The flexible FIT™ stations and smart Foresight™ stations provide unique benefits that set them apart. The FITTM stations are designed with the focus on speed and flexibility. There are two stations to select from: Recrushing station and Jaw station. The steel structures are supplied in modules that fit easily into containers for transportation. This also reduces on-site welding usually required and allows for quicker startup. Container delivery reduces delivery time by up to 25% compared to similar crushing and screening plants. Erection is also reduced by up to 15%. The ForesightTM stations are equipped with smart automation technology including Metso MetricsTM VisioRockTM level sensors and crusher variable-frequency drive (VFD). These features enable optimized crusher speeds preventative maintenance and optimizing of production levels up to 6000 tons per hour. The MP cone crusher station features a scalping MFTM screen and an MPTM Series cone crusher. Both stations come with proven Metso equipment and technology to deliver maximum productivity for even the most demanding mining applications.

The fourth product oversize plus conveyor has hydraulic variable tilt and slew discharge for re-circulating to secondary crusher or stockpiling of finished material. The compact transport envelope enables the machine to be transported between jobsites with ease. Hybrid powerpack is available as an option. Key features: Intuitive and simple folding mechanism for the onboard product conveyors for ease of deployment and onsite movement. Hydraulic folding catwalks as standard for improved onsite efficiency and to enable rapid screenbox deployment. The hydraulics system has been engineered to provide the optimum balance of power and efficiency. Screen box angle can be hydraulically adjusted to an angle between 18°and 32°. T-Link telematics hardware and software along with free seven year data subscription are fitted and installed as standard. Terex Finlay 696 2-deck inclined screen The new high energy screenbox is the largest in the Terex Finlay two-deck inclined screen range and features two full size 6.1m x 1.7m (20’ x 5’ 7”) to give a total screening area of 20.74m² (223ft²). The 8m³ (10.5yd³) hopper feeder is fitted with variable speed belt feeder to ensure consistent flow of material and can be fitted with remote tipping grid or double deck vibrating grid. Operator benefits include a quick set-up time (typically under 30 minutes) with hydraulically folding screenbox catwalks and product conveyors. The compact transport envelope enables the machine to be transported between jobsites with ease. Hybrid powerpack is available as an option. Key features: Simple and intuitive folding mechanism for the onboard product conveyors for ease of deployment and onsite movement. Facts about Crushers:

Crushers are earthmoving machinery used in many different industries to break or crush large rocks and gravel into smaller parts. They are used to lower the size or change the form of waste materials so that disposing or shredding them becomes more manageable. Also, they are beneficial in decreasing the size of a solid mix of raw materials.

How Does it Work?

Crushing devices apply force to bring the surfaces closer, generating enough energy within the material to get crushed into smaller molecules.

Crushers – Types

Crushers can be classified into three major categories based on crushing stages. They have different features, capacity, and usage.
Below you find the three type of crushers
1. Primary Crusher
2. Secondary Crusher
3. Tertiary Crusher

A few categories of crushers are used in different industries today to accomplish varied industrial works. The most commonly used crushers are:

  • Jaw Crushers
  • Hammer crushers
  • Impact crushers
  • Gyratory crushers
  • Cone crushers
  • Roller crushers
  • Mineral sizers

More About Crushers
