Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - UAE-based Quarry Mining successfully completed the design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning of a 4,000-tonne-per-hour ship loader at Saqr Port in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

The bulk material handling system has a 39-metre boom and two 20-metre cascade chutes that extend into a vessel's cargo holds to allow for controlled loading of bulk commodities.

The ship loader has a rated capacity of 4,000 tons per hour and is intended for high-volume export operations. Cascade chutes aid in material flow management during loading by shortening free-fall lengths and lowering dust formation and spillage.

Quarry Mining is a UAE-based engineering firm that specializes in the design, production, and installation of crushing, screening, conveying, and bulk material handling equipment. Its equipment serves quarrying, aggregate manufacturing, mining, and port activities, as well as the transportation of crushed rock and other bulk commodities from processing facilities to storage and shipping regions.

Saqr Port is a significant bulk freight gateway in Ras Al Khaimah, catering to the emirate's quarrying and building materials sectors. The port transports enormous amounts of limestone, aggregates, and other bulk commodities to regional and worldwide markets.

The new ship loader enhances the port's cargo handling infrastructure, facilitating the transfer of bulk goods from shore-based conveyor systems to boats. The project's worth and final client were not revealed.
