Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Several XCMG XE4000 mining excavators have been deployed to an open-pit mine in Africa, where they are supporting overburden removal and material loading operations.
The XE4000 is designed for the tough mining environment, and is developed to function in situations of thick dust, high loads and extreme wear. The equipment has a 22 cubic metre bucket and can dig down to eight meters, allowing it to cope with massive amounts of debris.
The excavator has the potential to load up to 40 tons of material in one pass and is designed for big scale mining operations where productivity and dependability are important.
XCMG claimed the XE4000 has already shown its worth in a large open-pit copper mine in South America, where a fleet of the machines and associated equipment moved more than 40,000 tonnes of material in a single day.
