Al Masaood CV&E Division Has Been Awarded The UD Trucks MEENA Importer Of The Year

Al Masaood Commercial Vehicles & Equipment (CV&E) Division has been awarded the ‘UD Trucks MEENA Importer of the Year 2020’ at the ‘Annual UD MEENA Partner’s Conference 2020.’ The award was given after the division demonstrated a strong performance in 2020 despite unprecedented difficult market circumstances. The event also took note of the division’s new strategies for 2021 to help it thrive under the prevailing global situation.

The year 2020 saw the division embarking on numerous initiatives to help the UAE Government fight the raging pandemic. It supported the government’s National Sterilization Program, with its team of front liners working full-time to provide on-ground essential maintenance and periodic checks for Lavajet’s fleet being utilized by Tadweer (the Centre of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi) wherever these trucks were located. Additionally, in partnership with UD Trucks and Bridgestone, Al Masaood CV&E launched the ‘Serving our Heroes’ CSR campaign to educate truck drivers about the importance of health and hygiene practices in the battle against the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Apart from its pandemic-related campaigns, Al Masaood CV&E Division also took part in the UD Trucks Extra Mile Challenge as a host of the competition’s Abu Dhabi edition in January 2020. Under this extra mile challenge, the expertise and agility of competing UD truck drivers were put to the test to take their abilities to the next level and enhance their creativity and innovative skills to improve their respective transport operations. Further, it was this year that Al Masaood CV&E closed several deals with its strategic customers such as Al Ain Coop, Trojan, Western Bainoona Group, and many more. But its most prominent agreement in 2020 was a deal of six UD Trucks Quester 6x4 units with Emarat Aloula Contracting (EAC). All six units, equipped with COMB tankers, will be deployed to serve EAC’s wide network in Abu Dhabi.
